Their isnt set rules on that, suspect different referee teams work differently, as long as 1 does each half and are on oppisate sides is fine, also cameras are at different sides in some stadiums.

It says at the end of that wiki link that they can run a right and be the opposite way, at Sunderland home matches the assistants have been on both sides many times, somtimes they swap over at half time sometimes not, seems to be down to the preferance of the ref.
Man Utd go 2-0 up.
