After picking it up again, I leveled a 70 druid to eventually ended up being a MT for the karazhan raid. I went and sold him on ebay for $3xx (bought within a day of posting).

Karazhan sucks ass, its the wipes and trash clears of MC just with 10 people now.

Now knowing that I will need to level 1-70 instead of 1-60 is a nice deterrence for me not coming back to it again.

If someone was starting from scratch, I suggest these classes:

PvP + PvE: Mage, Warlock, Priest, Warrior, Paladin
PVP: Hunter

Dont commit to a tanking/healing class for pve unless you plan to invest 5-6 hours daily into the game (reason why I quit my druid). Do not join a low population realm unless you know what you are getting into. I suggest either waiting for new realms to open or join a developed realm.

For professions, most work. I would recommend alch/herb. Mining with JC. If your cloth, grabbing tailoring can be fun as well. I wouldnt worry about picking out a prof that is best suited for your class, as there isnt such a thing really

I've been playing for about a week now just donking around with the game and I am lvl 16 right now. The first few days I played a lot when I got off work but I have slowed down now since I havent been able to play as mucg with my brother because its way more fun to play with other people and have a team to get stuff done.

End game raiding consists of 10-25 people (used to be 40) over voice-over-ip software, where communication is key, so there is a lot of that later on. But yea, having a leveling buddy 1-70 is great

You start a guild in any of the major cities. There's a vendor that will sell you a charter, and you pick the name, etc.

Then you have to get 9 or 10 other people to sign your charter as members of the guild.

I believe a guild charter costs 10g, but I could be mistaken, as it's been awhile since I looked.
