"Seems that some of the people there already thought that crowd-noise might be inflated somehow. "
Please stop saying this without any support. Now you're laughing at them? THEY NEVER EXISTED. YOU MADE THEM UP. BY YOURSELF. FOR NO REASON. |

I saw an article this morning at Yahoo sports that is no longer up on that site (frustrating) and it was about Jonathan Kraft making a formal complaint to the league and I'm pretty sure it was because the Kraft's heard it in the stadium. Will try harder to find article.

Its worth noting that the only name (as far as I know) connected to an accusation that was actually at the game is Bob Kraft, who sits in a box that has a TV.

YOU MADE THEM UP. BY YOURSELF. FOR NO REASON. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't make them up at all. I wouldn't say they potentially existed if I hadn't read it elsewhere. From the article on yahoo sports: "Observers at the game said there seemed to be a "skip" in the sound during the game Sunday" Now, whether there were MANY fans who claim to have heard this or there were only a handful who THOUGHT they heard it only after hearing ABOUT it I have no idea. They give no details about the 'observers' who supposedly heard it. But I'm certainly not the one making it up so get off my back already. |

Nothing to hear here (ESPN.com story)
The NFL says no artificial crowd noise was pumped into the RCA Dome on Sunday during the New England-Indianapolis game, despite claims otherwise by Patriots team president Jonathan Kraft. "CBS has informed us that the unusual audio moment heard by fans during the Patriots-Colts telecast was the result of tape feedback in the CBS production truck and was isolated to the CBS broadcast," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Monday. |

[ QUOTE ] Fake crowd noise, biased officials, changed rules, and these guys still can't win at home. unbelievable. [/ QUOTE ] I'd prefer if the Colts would stop doing this but this is a ridiculous comment. [/ QUOTE ] I think this comment is right on all counts. (I know it wasn't technically a rule change, but it was a change in they was officials called it, which has the same effect.) I think that pumping in crowd noise is at least as serious an offence as video taping caoches (both are explicitly illegal). I thought that the Pats got off easy with the camera thing, so I think that the Colts should get off easy. I think a $750,000 fine, and a first round draft pick seems about right. Edit: Of course if there was no artificial noise, then there should be no penalty. The NFL, should, however, fire those refs, and find out who bought them off. |
