Let's say you hired whitelime and had a 1 hour strategy discussion. What would he talk to you about?

[/ QUOTE ]

not worth hiring a higher level coach for one hour. he's not going to be able to give you any advice that will really be worth the cost. 10-20 hours, though, well worth it. it will give us a lot of time to get to know how you play and think and approach the game, and will allow us to effectively come up with not only ways to get rid of your leaks, but also ways to help you understand why YOU are leaking there.

with that said, getting a coach for an hour or two just to check up on you or pick out some glaring leaks definitely works. but if you're looking to figure out why you are breakeven or losing over some sample size of hands, or for help playing in 3-bet pots, or for help figuring out when to play for pot control and when to play faster - well, expect that to take far more time. you play 100k hands of breakeven in 2 months. one hour to figure out 2 months worth of work? not happening unless you're being coached by the messiah

i dont understand why bldswttrs is higher priced than krantz and cts. why pay for someone that only plays 10/20 when you can get a coach that plays 30x the stakes for a lot cheaper??

asuming one is a winning 2/4-5/10 (5ptbb/100)player over a big sample size, who and for how long would you recommend for 25/50?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not sure if anyone responded to this (this is a LOOOONG thread) But are any of the coaches worthwhile for a 5-10 winner who is looking to become a BIGGER winner at 5-10, and move up to 10-20? I'm kind of speaking from ignorance hear, but I got the impression that a lot of these coaches specialize in turning .50/1.00 nl players into winning 2/4 nl players - which is a whole different ball game.

This is pretty much where I am at and Krantz has made me a million times better sometimes without even having a coaching session.
