WHY?????

[/ QUOTE ]

I assume this is in response to the reverse trick play. Hopefully, Ferentz did this because I had a bet on Iowa U92.5 rushing yards. They had 98 before the play and went to 87 after. fingers crossed on that one.

Yes and LOL. That musta been the reason for the play call then.

But in all seriousness, is a trick play really the play you want? You just got a whole lot of momentum with the bad punt and you have the ball at your opponents 49 with 3:30 left. I'm running it/play action on that first play.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree...no trick play there. The offense was rolling since Tate came back from the locker room. Great field position. Just line it up and go for it. I don't like trick plays if the regular offense is going smooth.

Would it have been a bad idea to run up and spike it? That way you get your guys into a huddle and calm down and your not rushing the play? Or does it not matter/impossible because the clock would run out.

great idea with 3 seconds plus and one that I believe will become standard if the current rules stay in place. The problem is that, though it's usually one second off the clock, I have seen 2 run off.

GREAT INTERVIEW with Herschel Walker!!!!

The best interview all sports season IMO.

hit on the wide exposure of football these days, how everyone can become a student, the high level of play across the country, the right way for players to get better, and a strong anti-drug sentiment.

Does Mark Richt get the award for "did the least with the most?"

But after Coker and Bowden is it Richt? It was a question not a statement.

He would be in the short list with Chuck Amato and John L. Smith. I think Richt's is more excusable given the amazing 4 year stretch or so before this.

terrible announcing job

a 40 yd pick on 3rd and 13 is not a bad interception in the grand scheme.
