I emphatically 2nd "The Straight Story"- Farnsworth/Spacek are incredible. Beautifully made. (It's David Lynch doing a Disney film for God's sake) Speaking of...

"Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me"- the last dark hours of Laura Palmer's life. (With characters you could only find in 2+2 land)

"Equilibrium"- a sleeper of a cool movie with Christian Bale

"The Sweet Hereafter"- melancholy tale of the effects of a horrible bus accident in small town

"High Tension"- a better than average horror flick.

Dangerous lives of altar boys- Always liked this movie

One of the most effed-up movies I've ever seen. I saw it stoned to bejesus with a girl who had been molested by her father. That was pretty intense. We had no idea that's what it was going to be about.

Ouch. Tough one.

I saw the movie first which came out after the tv series and was hooked. Lynch is out there, but obviously connects to darker issues.
