1. None of the balls off Gagne were hit well, just well placed. But, he could have avoided all that by getting his change up over and getting some strikeouts.
2. The umpires with chips on their shoulders really piss me off. Ok, so you blew the call. Why do you have to keep walking towards Youk and get in his face? Cuz you're an [censored]! And everyone in America could hear it hit his bat you moron. The same home plate ump also made an aggressive gesture toward Gagne when he asked if a pitch was high. You could see Gagne kind of smiling afterwards cuz the ump got so hot so quick.
3. Manny and Ortiz finally come through in the clutch in a big way, and we blew it. This one stings.

I'm sticking by him, too- long way to go in the season. And yes, it is still quite possible to chalk up his tough beginning to variance. Scott Williamson has a rough start when he came over in in 2003- after being a quality closer for the Reds in the 1st half of the season- everybody was bitching, yet by the time playoffs came around, he was the most reliable pitcher in the pen.

Ok, I know where you are going, I've calmed down but do you want Gagme on the mound in the playoffs? I rather see him off the team, atm. It will settle things down pretty quick. His life is in danger if he takes the mound in Fenway again. I know, it's silly to boo your own players, I never have, but just the facts, mam. They are sitting outside the gate, waiting for him to leave so they can boo him. I've seen it before, more than once. I thought Jose Owefulman was going to get pulled out of his car and lynched one time.

Then there was the night they gave Derek Lowe posters out and he blew another save...omg, things like that are thankfully illegal now. Somehow Derek maintained his status and moved into Red Sox lore. I can only hope Gagme does the same.

I missed the first game but I cant figure out why you dont just use gagne in that game. 4 run lead gives him room to let up his typical 3 runs and still get out fo the inning.

AT least from now on were guranteed okjima/papelbon to end the game, which is the way it should have been even after getting gagne.

i say before the start of the game that we have gagne to close....nobody says a word...he blows a game, and everybody is like "lol you were wrong, zomg i am so smart"
