Not sure but you gotta stop Baron to stop the Warriors. I'd probally put him on Monta who isn't that big but is fast. It would still be a mismatch but I still want my best wing defender on their best player.

[/ QUOTE ]

Put him on Ellis when Ellis is playing, but otherwise you've got some variation of BD, JRich, SJax, Barnes, and Biedrins. Nash is going to be a defensive liability regardless there. Either of the guards eat him alive.

Dude, what is wrong with you guys? You do realize that the warriors matchup well againt the mavs and play well against them recently right? There is a very real reason why they are an 8 seed and barely made the playoffs. The amount of bandwaggoners in this thread is downright disgusting. Yes the warriors are a feel good story and I genuinely have nothing against them, but lets get back to reality for a moment here.

The GSW are a poor man's PHO (Nash>Davis, Amare>any big man theyve got, Marion>Jackson/JRich). Steve Nash is ALWAYS a defensive liability regardless of who hes guarding. Put Nash on Barnes/Pietrus whenever they're in the game and make them hang 25-30 pts on you to win. And let Bell guard Baron. I don't see who the warriors have an advantage on thats left in the western conference. Maybe they have an edge against Houston, but thats it.

Biedrins is a beast, and just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. He is not the type of guy who gets "numbers" in that system for a number of reasons, but he's very, very good.

My bad for goofing on the matchup. I will quote that post when GSW and PHX meet in the conference finals.

About Amare---

I think very highly of him, and received flack for putting him over Kobe in my "NBA Top 40."

I think the post game can develop, but I'm talking about a guy who can get the ball dumped down to him and create his own shot consistently a la Duncan, Yao, or Boozer.

Utah or Houston will be a huge problem for GS. Phoenix would have been their best matchup.

So you'd take Biedrins right now if you could over Amare?

I hate how we keep hearing this.

Dallas is just really unprepared for playoff basketball, regardless of who they are playing (they could have beaten the Lakers or Nuggets), but IMO would have lost to any other team.

So basically we had like an entire page about Jason Kidd for nothing =)...of course we can all dream, but then again when he was here the last time all he was good for was a few good car commercials and beating his wife.

T - haha sorry man, that was my fault I think I introduced the idea. Just after the game, my buddies and I were tossing around ideas (Phil Jackson is your new head coach in 2 years, FTW?!) mainly cause-

1) This is absolutely devastating, and after something like this, there is usually a scapegoat (conscious or subconscious)
2) Cuban is awesome but is very proactive
3) Dirk is untouchable
4) Howard is untouchable
5) Avery is not untouchable
6) Everyone else could potentially be traded, theoretically

And if it hasn't been said to Mavs fans in this thread... dude, guys, sorry, this must really effing suck
