Does anyone play in the 180 player MTT SNGs on stars - I would like to get a bit of micro stake MTT tourney action and was wondering what the best course of action is...

There's a nice thread by Shaun Deeb in a sticky over at the MTT Community forum.

Thanks - this is the thread that actually gave me the idea about 180s - think I might play a couple when I need a change from cash games, but my tourney skills are pretty awful.

This is really LC and doesn't deserve its own thread, but just want to verify this...

Villain is 28/5 and pretty aggro - likes to raise a lot... not a manic, but likes to bully a bit.

When I played this hand, I had a really strong feeling that villain was on a draw here, or had air, I can't see any of his range hitting this flop, apart from a random T, but I just could not convince myself to call here.

Is a call ever correct with a strong read?

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

UTG: $5.10
MP: $4.55
CO: $13.05
BTN: $4.85
Hero (SB): $10.85
BB: $6.50

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, MP calls $0.10, 2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.40</font>, BB folds, MP calls $0.30

Flop: ($0.90) 3 T 4 (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $0.65</font>, <font color="red">MP raises to $4.15 and is All-In</font>, Hero folds

Results: $2.20 Pot ($0.10 Rake)
MP mucked and WON $2.10 (+$1.05 NET)

Meh, if he has like QJcc he's ahead of you, I definitely wouldn't call because sometimes he has JT or 88 or something as well and we're at 25% equity.

At best we hope he has A6cc or something, and even then he is almost even money with you.
