[ QUOTE ] \ 4- There's a guy who reviews comics (Paul O'Brien) who points out that it's always a bad sign when the characters start complaining about the plot. Nikki's "why didn't you phase through that bullet" moment was one of those. Given that DL appears to live, wtf was the point of making your show look retarded by shooting him in the first place? \ [/ QUOTE ] dude, he obviously took the bullet because if it went through him it was going into Nikki, this isn't really an example of characters complaining about the plot its an omg i love you moment that was sort of lame and also, the shapeshifter chick never insinuated that her real shape is the fat black lady, just that you have no idea what her real shape is [/ QUOTE ] The point is that he can take BOTH of them out of phase. |

Now here is a question... What if a bullet through the head of peter actually kills him for good. Then does it make the ending less terrible?
We saw him heal from a thin piece of glass in the brain, but a bullet through the brain would probably do a lot more damage. |

My guess is that Claire and Peter can heal from just about anything as long as something (for example, a stick or piece of glass) isn't inhibiting it -- so if the bullet didn't lodge in his head, he'd have healed from it pretty quickly.

But the way the events play out, it seems like the bullet to the back of the head kills him forever. That is why hiro could have easily just teleported him away and saved everybody, but after he was flung away by sylar, it was either kill peter or somehow get him out of there.
I am not saying it actually makes sense this way based on what we have seen of the healing power, but if this were an assumption, I think the whole ending makes much more sense. |

the whole "the show is low budget" is not an apt excuse. Heroes is one of NBC's top rated shows, its the second non-thursday show i think. the problem isn't budgetary, it is shear "artistic decision".

The center of their brain is probably the healing area. When it is disable by an object lodged in their they can not heal themselves. So a bullet would go into the back of their skull and explode the [censored] out of the center portion of the brain where healing begins. I think it would actually kill him, since bullets don't get lodged in people's heads from point blank range. When you their is a lot of mess at point blank range...that mess would be their super powers splattering all over the place.

Well then it was pretty [censored] stupid of Peter to tell Claire to use a gun instead of a knife, wasn't it?

I want to know what happened to the invisible man who was supposed to be there laughing when peter was about to explode [/ QUOTE ] Peter's vision was obviously symbolic and not literal. |

Well then it was pretty [censored] stupid of Peter to tell Claire to use a gun instead of a knife, wasn't it? [/ QUOTE ] Peter is pretty effing stupid. Plus peter assumes if he can't control that power at that moment who says he will be able to when he wakes up later on? If he thinks he can't control it then everyone dies...might as well kill him and get it over with. |
