[ QUOTE ]
If someone is AC they have thought through some issues and have formulated opinions about things after some reflection. This is true with many democrats and republicans as well but there are tons of dems and repubs who have not done those things. It seems much more unlikely that an ACer would not have thought through political issues.... There are loads of people who consider themselves dem or repub or independ who can not engage in a political discussion because they have never thought through an issue. They see 10 min sound bites on TV and that is their 'position'. They can't talk on the issue outside of what they saw someone say on TV. I think it's much less likely to be the case with an ACer. I think that 'ACers' would be much more likely, on average, to feel comfortable jumping into discussions than the population average.

really good post bk. this is something I have been hinking for a while and you said it really well.

i cant decide which are more annoying, nielsos hijacks or the way other posters then take his posts and call every ac poster a hijacker. stuff like that just kills the content of the forum and turns people away.

Hahaha. Divide and conquer is still the motto amongst jackbooted thugs huh?

No, I just have a few ACists who have privately told me you are an embarrassment and more likely to drive people to my jackbooted thug camp than the anarchocapatalist camp.

So people who enjoy being around the likes of you are saying that they do not like the likes of me.

Obviously, I would not want to hold up to their standards, because I've learned what their standards are.

I wouldn't really say that Tomcollins is someone I would love to be around, and I find you annoying. And I am someone who agrees with a lot of your core philosophy, and I am more receptive than average to the "conspiracy theories" that a lot of other people dismiss offhand.

Iron is there a way to get all this AC stuff calmed down a bit.

In the thread we can put (NO AC discussion Plz) just like the BBV crew uses NSFW.

And if an AC'er posts AC stuff in the thread you can ban them.

You're welcome to ask the ACists to stay out of your thread. However, I will not enforce it.

Iron, that sounds suspiciously like a "free market" solution. Can't you make a rule and enforce it instead?

everyone realizes that if you stopped replying to AC posts in threads started by non-AC posters, they probably wouldn't get off track like they do now? and lumping all the ACists together is silly.

I for one have blocked Nielsio and others who make snotty one-liners that educate no one. Just do the same.
