while i doubt party actually cares when people do this, out of good will, i still play about an hour (at my stakes this generates about $40 in rake for them). that should cover the cost for them to initiate the EFT.

I am reposting this in this thread at the suggestion of others. I originally started another thread because most of the posts in this thread seemed to deal with higher limit players.
================ Hi, I've read the e-wallets for Canadians thread, but I'm still not sure what the best option is for me. I'm a small stakes player (I would deposit or withdraw $100-200 at a time), and noticed that for Moneybookers, to transfer money from my bank account would cost around $42. Moneybookers cannot use my credit card, so it's obviously not worth it for me to xfer $200 at the current wire transfer rates. What would you suggest? Addititonal notes: my situation is a bit more complicated in that I use a Mac, so my options for online sites are limited. Also, I have never been able to use my RB VISA on ANY poker site. |

[/ QUOTE ] RBC won't work anywhere. Does Party work on a Mac? If so I'd use their EFT and just play there. I'm in the same situation as you. Party is the only real option unless you want to apply for a new credit card. Your other option is to eat a one-time bank wire fee to fund MoneyBookers, deposit to Party to activate MB on there, and use Party's EFT (but be sure to do a lot of cover play on Party) for future deposits and withdrawals and use MB to move money between sites. OR you can believe that the sites are working on something new and just wait. Which is pretty much what I'm going to do ... although I wouldn't advise holding your breath as we might be waiting for a very long time. |

If accord's idea doesn't work, I still like the PokerSavvy plan I suggested in the other thread.

[ QUOTE ] I have a party account with some money on it but do most of my playing on another site... can I just use MB to withdraw from my main site then throw it on Party and use there EFT to withdraw to my bank without even really playing there or would they put a stop to it seeing as I'm just using them as a middle man to avoid fees? [/ QUOTE ] That is NOT a good idea. Poker sites hate being used as a free money transfer service. Chances are they won't let you withdraw until you generate sufficient rake by playing enough. When will people learn that you can't just deposit and withdraw without playing. It costs them money to process deposits and withdrawals. [/ QUOTE ] This is wrong...Party is excellent for eft's with little/no cover play (up to 5k at time anyway) |

[/ QUOTE ] When you mentioned that, I checked the currency exchange rates, and the U.S. dollar is down again. Will the Canadian dollar reach parity?
