Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
Re Scotty vs Hilm: Scotty seems to have a lot of trouble understanding English sometimes (e.g. when Tran went out, he had to be told like three times who it was before he understood). From the televised content, it looked like he misheard or misunderstood after Hilm won the hand and was saying "look what you are doing to me" and "my hands are shaking stacking these chips" etc. Looked like Scotty thought Hilm was having a dig at him.
A lot of hollywooding though when he got up from the table and tried to look nervous. His staredown is kind of dreamy though, no? PS running eights for quads. |

Kind of funny that a few people have commented that Khan is playing very well. He's playing basic ABC, unimaginative poker. I guess it goes to show how bad the fields have become.

And then "I thought it was 'caller' Tran" as opposed to 'sick caller', not sure if this was a jab at him being a station but if so....awesome [/ QUOTE ] It wasn't a direct jab at Tran's play IMO, but I did like how Watkinson handled the situation. The comment is mostly self-deprecating as if to say I don't really care about all this posturing, but I think there's also an element of "Who asked you, you weren't even in the hand". |

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
lol, I guess I'm the only one who disliked Tran in the last episode, and liked him more in this one. I don't know, it seemed like Yang was taking himself so seriously, and I liked that Tran was being an [censored] to everyone. Made me giggle, tehehehe.

Re: WSOP on ESPN thread (10/2 - Day 6)
Rhett Butler last year seemed to pretty much fold his way to 5th place and 3 million dollars, with people around him managing to bust themselves on marginal hands with 200 BB +

What's the deal with Rahme congratulating Scotty after ever pot he took? It happens every single time and I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Its really creepy/strange.

Believe it or not, Suzzer, I think I read somewhere that they actually just tape the action and the commentary is voiced over later. So I think you are exactly right in that they did know...
