This is where I usually jump in, and claim to be unbeatable in "bubble hockey". You know, it's like foosball, only it's hockey, with a big plastic bubble-dome over the playing surface.

But someone finally called me on it a few months ago, when I was visiting my hometown. We drove up to Salisbury Beach, and locked up the game at Joe's Playland. Best of 7, switch sides after every game.

I lost Game One. I thought we were still playing warm-up games, but my opponent assured me that was Game One. Ok, I'll grant you that one.

I then swept the next four games, only one of the four being close (one-goal margin of victory). My opponent told me that I was unbelievably lucky.

But I was shocked at how far my skills had fallen off. I'm not half the player I was 20 years ago. I'd like to blame the crummy equipment, but that wasn't it. I'm older, slower, and my eyes aren't as good.

I still destroyed somebody who thought he was good at the game. But I can no longer call myself "unbeatable". [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

one of my favorite video game stories of all time was bionic commando. my friend and i just couldnt beat it, so we put in that gameshark [censored], made ourselves invincible. after about 3 hours we;re to the final boss. as we;re running up to him my friend falls into a spike pit that doesnt hurt him and he cant jump out of. GG!

I wondered this as well. This was not a particularly difficult game if you had patience - spend a half hour leveling up on the first area and you will encounter no problems in later areas.
