Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)

a) benyamine couldnt afford to lose the money he was playing with b) he is somehow noble for not asking to run it more than once uhh this is sorta like a murdered saying he shouldnt have killed someone and taking the death sentence, and us, as a society saying that it's okay b/c he didnt ask for parole? |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I don't know how any poker player can talk down or badly about Guy's poker game. The man is obviously smarter than any degenerate at that high stakes table. He's a billionaire who plays nose-bleed stakes for a laugh. Benyamine is a "pro" poker player who got most of his entire bankroll in as a 2:1 dog. Sammy Farha is a mere millionaire hustling rich guys out of money for a living. The kind of money that makes no difference to Guy's life, but all the difference to a degenerate like Farha or Benyamine. [/ QUOTE ] People talk bad about Guy's poker game because he's terrible for the stakes he plays. Not sure what the rest of your paragraph has to do with anything. [/ QUOTE ] He's not terrible but he doesn't care too much about the net result because he's a billionaire. How can a [censored] degenerate card player mock a billionaire as being his "customer"? The money is a joke to Guy. He could flip Farha for all the money he has. |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
I'm actually quite excited about watching this now as I missed all the links...
I think that Guy has been great for the game...he's there purely to have fun .... Farha however is a fool with his snidey comments etc...When PA won 3/4 hands with the J9 vs KQs, I was extremely happy... Just have to wait 2 weeks though for it to appear on Pokertube ! |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
Well, I've only just seen this and I have to say Guy is an incredibly decent guy.
It's hard for us to comprehend when we take any slight edge we can get, happy getting our stacks in as a 55%+ fav. But Guy's on a different wavelength than all of us, with a different BR and a different reason to play... I think his own character really shone through here. |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
I have gone from a Farha hater to a farah lover in these last few HSP.
Not sure if it is allowed, but if anyone hasn't seen epi 15 i can provide a link to download it if you message me. |

Brunson's line is a classic !!!!! Guy is very humble and Degenyamine's face is priceless.. Nice gesture by Guy who is happy just to be playing in that game... |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
Was anyone else shocked by Benyamines reaction when Guy faced his cards up to see Benyamines reaction before calling? Was it not extremely important that he disguises his emotion here so there is a chance Guy mucks two pair? Gave away completely that he was crushed.

He knew the rented mansion and Erica would be gone if he lost that hand.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think this is necessarily true, and Guy is never mucking top two pair on a flushing board IMO. |

Re: View: Guy is the nicest guy on the planet (or the dumbest)
if i'm understanding this correctly --
the cards were turned up -- Guy was ahead and offered to just take what was in the pot rather than risk calling the all-in ? if db felt lucky, he says "no", right? it's the old "a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush". didn't guy opt to just collect 70k rather than risk 200k or whatever... doesn't sound stupid to me at all. |
