Re: Post the easiest question that 20%+ of 2+2ers will answer wrong(po

[ QUOTE ] Which is not a way a runner can reach first in baseball. [/ QUOTE ] I guess you are counting steal as dropped 3rd strike? [/ QUOTE ] i had to do some reading, and it appears "steal" is the correct answer to this. i thought steal was ok thinking of the the uncaught third strike. it registers as a K for the pitcher but i am still not sure how it shows up for the runner. i had never heard of "umpire's choice" so i answered that. found out that's some new-fangled fancy rule that sounds made up anyway and enforcing it is probably as good an idea as introducing astroturf. |

[/ QUOTE ] how the F does a pitcher balk with no one on base? why is he pitching from the stretch and/or checking the non-existent runners? i've never heard of a balk without a base runner [/ QUOTE ] yeah, kind of unusual for it to happen but it does on occasion. and as you alluded to your post, a pitcher doesnt have to use the stretch only when runners are on. and the stretch is going to be the more likely culprit for a balk. (d) If the pitcher makes an illegal pitch with the bases unoccupied, it shall be called a ball unless the batter reaches first base on a hit, an error, a base on balls, a hit batter or otherwise. [ QUOTE ] The spider question is sorta a trick question. When was the last time someone died from getting bit by a daddy long legs? [/ QUOTE ] It's not a trick question [/ QUOTE ] This is not a trick question. I take it that you think a Daddy Long Legs cannot penetrate your skin and therefore this a trick question. Is that correct? If that's your belief, then I'll share some info about the answer. |

The square root of 4 is both 2 and "something else." Do you see why?
