They really missed a golden opportunity to trade Guardado at a premium at the trade deadline last year. Then another opportunity to NOT pay him $6m+ this year during the offseason. Now he is showing all signs of being fork-in-the-back done, and we are stuck with him.

If they are playing .350 to .400 baseball by June, Hargrove will be gone. They won't get rid of Bavasi and company until the offseason.

It has nothing to do with the ballpark. They overpaid for those guys in any ballpark, especially Beltre.

Well, Beltre finally went deep today but Guardado is about to blow another one. They need to dump him asap, putz will be a great closer and im tired of watching guardado kill any chance we have of competing this year.

This is right on the money. Bavasi has consistently made some poor decisions, as well as miss out on some great opportunities over the past few years (Tejada, Guerrero, etc.)

But the Mariners have many more problems than just Bavasi. My most +EV sports bet this summer is prop betting with my friends that Ichiro will pop out/ground out whenever he comes up to bat with RISP. It's like a goldmine.

Good game so far, The offense is really starting to come around. Mateo went on the DL, which greatly helps the bullpen.

3 wins in a row but Hargrove still is not playing reed full time. I think this division is going to end up much weaker than people thought, everyone is looking like crap. If the M's starters can continue to give solid starts I think we might actually have a shot. Offense is comming around, including Beltre. If he figures things out and starts looking more like 04 we are going to make a serious run at the division.

The only real option is to play him over Everett at DH. But since we paid for the "veteran leadership" everett provides Everett is going to play. The thing that really sucks is that if everett hits 450 ab's his option for next year kicks in.

If he keeps hitting .200, they won't be dumb enough to give him 450 ABs. I hope.
