Goths and emo kids are both sad about the world, and they both tend to define themselves in opposition to the popular social groups. Goths are maybe more into mysticism and the supernatural, while emos are more about feelings. That thing where her hair is in her face is an emo thing.
But hey, what do I know? I've spent the last 5 years in grad school, where everyone is a differing shade of nerd. |

And when they do it to make/have friends. Because emo and goth are pretty damn popular. |
