I love listening to Black Keys, Muddy waters, B.B. Kings, and well Billy Joel haha. I seem to get in the mood quite a bit when i have those songs pumping through my speakers. Also Good run of bad luck, it's the song from maverick... I like that one aswell.

My musical taste all over the place

Here's another vote for not listening to music. If i'm single tabling then maybe i'll watch a little TV but if I am multi tabling then no way way to distracting IMO

If I didn't listen to music while I was playing, I would have probably quit playing by now.

Too distracting....rubbish.

I listen to classical music while playing and studying. I find that nice instrumental music like a Jazz band or symphony helps to keep my focused on what Im doing. In any event you can go to 365live.com and listen to a bunch of stations for free. They have just about every genre.

I'm kinda surprised at some of the responses.

I don't find music distracting at all, I'll watch the tube too, Sox games, or the Colbert report n' stuff.

I listen to the Dead, and Dylan. Or like Johnny Cash or sumthin'

Anything to pass the time....

-infact, right now I'm watching the Sox hoping they hold on to the win over Toronto, playing three tables, and editing this post...

Personally I find that music distracts me a lot. It is hard to concentrate when I am listening to rock, even when the sound is set to minimum. I coud do with a little bit of music to create the right mood before I play though.
