if they make it that far they will get swept bye the white sox again, and they still wont win a WS

Are you joking? The Astros clearly have the better team. You guys needed a perfect storm of breaks to go your way to win last year, and even then it was extremely close.

If any WS victory deserves an asterisk, it was the White Sox last year.

Get over yourself.

As an Astros fan, I must say that the Sox had an edge last year. Even moreso when Selig took away the home-field advantage.

Starters were about even.
Bullpen similar, slight edge to Astros.
Bench...ehh..slight edge to Astros, but bench isn't very important.
Hitting, Sox had a healthy edge. I think 8 of their 9 regulars could go yard at any moment, and Podsednik made it 9.

Overall, I think after 4 games, the Sox were up +6 runs, which seems about right. It just blows that the series was 4-0, because it was a lot closer than it will look as time passes.

Taveras is horrible.

[/ QUOTE ]

At what?

[/ QUOTE ]

At being a baseball player. He has to hit over .340 to be effective.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or be an above-average CFer in a cavernous Centerfield, and throw out a bunch of people. Oh, and steal 30-40 bags.

No, it's the default skeleton avatar from this site, with a nice Stuey addition circa 12/2005 that I haven't altered.

The astros have far too many white guys to be competitive.

He's hitting over 300 and has an OPS of .680, that right there shows how weak of a hitter he is. So far this year he is 0 for 2 in steal attempts, and his defensive numbers last year were mediocre at best.
