I don't think he's shoving with anything I beat on the river.

following my logic a call on the turn would actually be a very profitable line if the opponent bluffs often enough.

But the reason I like a raise here is because I don't think it'll get called very often, and the upside of that is that you can establish an image of someone who pushes hard, which will hopefully make others a bit more reluctant to hang on to marginal hands against me. And also so people will stop pulling this ridiculous crap on me with sheiss. Combined with the fact that it will make the rest of the hand less enigmatic, these benefits imo make my opponents a bit more predictable and life on me a bit easier.

As for an answer to your question, my responses imply that this is more often a marginal hand (like a pair, hardly a kicker, or a draw) than a monster. But without a read it's hard to say.

I've got 2k, he's got me covered. No reads cause I'm a limit kid!

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $10.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $60</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP2 calls $60, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, SB (poster) calls $50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($200) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $175</font>, MP2 folds, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $350</font>, Hero calls $175.

Turn: ($900) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $350</font>

What now?

If the turn bet was pot-sized, how would you then react?

full pot, depends on the opponent. often i'm all in and often i'm folding. never calling because full pot is more often a draw or a better made hand.

but that isn't what this post is about, this post is about a 1/3 pot bet which i'm calling all day and twice on sunday. and then i might even call a river bet, who knows. but often after this weak bet they will just check to you on the river at which point you can be a weak donkey and check behind or you can value bet and make some money to go buy nice things with.
