Best low limit in Vegas

Oh, how I hate miniblinds. I guess I will never have to go to the Alladin again, I already knocked Mandalay Bay off my list because of those miniblinds.

I know that a good poker player should be able to adjust, but it seems that any preflop stealing raises are now worthless, there is less money in the pot to make it worth trying to pick up orphan pots on the flop, if you raise with high pocket pairs it is much more likely the blinds just fold intead of incorrectly calling, etc etc...

I am a good limit player but I just can't seem to adjust well to miniblinds in 4-8. It seems like I either win very small pots with no resistance preflop or flop or lose big ones on the turn or river - no in-between.

As I've said before:

1) Look for a big building with flashy lights.

2) Go inside.

3) Ask if they have a poker room.

4) If yes, the SS games will be soft.

5) If no, go back to step 1.

All that having been said, the ultra-baby $50-max NL game at Luxor is perhaps the softest poker game in the known world, and the Mirage during daylight hours has a bunch of old rocks that are just annoying to play with.

They had no problem keeping a $1-2 LHE game going until 6 in the morning as I dropped $300 and ran card dead for oh...lets say 10 hours or so. Jokes on them m-fers though. I popped $20 into the $1 WOF and hit for $500 two spins in.

He He He - it is certainly no Absolute Poker 2-4 rockgarden out here but I often manage to do this a few times a session. It does add up. I reasonably often raise preflop late first in with pseudotrash in 4-8 and of course the SB (incorrectly) just calls and the BB calls, then you bet the flop and win it. Sometimes they both fold preflop, but yeah it is rare. The BB almost always calls, so usually you win $10, sometimes $16 from the blinds.
With the miniblinds the SB always folds and more often the BB does, and I win $3. Whoopee.
You are correct it is rare - but figure even if I'm successful 0.5-1 time per hour stealing as described above at a regular 4-8 table in a typical 6 hours session that is a difference of ~$50 compared to miniblind table. Buys a nice dinner.

If you like low limits the Excalabur 2-6 spread limit is a really fun n' profitable.

Play at night.

Mandalay Bay 4-8 is also really good.
