Dell 2407WFP - higher contrast ratio, far lower response time, same resolution, smaller bezel, more attractive looking. Link.

Updates to the aging 2001fp & widescreen 2005fpw are on the way too, link.

A couple months ago I paid about $547 with tax and shipping from newegg online. This is a great monitor for the money, I'd go for it.
