MP3 is solid TAA 18/9/4 over 100 hands.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was originally thinking of raising this hand, to clear up the field, but here is our problem:

a) this field is likely not going away, but more importantly,
b) the TAG is not betting his draw (he would c/r), he is betting his TP, so you will protect his hand for him. >80% we are drawing to 2 outs.

This tips me towards a fold.

Gotta fold

You're either already beat or barely ahead with a hand that has little chance of improving and can easily be drawn out on if ahead.

See Reverse Implied Odds, SSHE.

With 3 limpers already in I think I would limp preflop.

I probably wouldn't lean towards MP3 being on a draw as you were the preflop agressor and are on his left. He is probably betting the best hand and either hoping you will raise to help protect it or get out of the way. Because of this I would fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Don't limp this preflop. 99 still has a large edge.

And this is a pretty clear fold given that flop.

Is the preflop raise correct? You are against 3 limpers and there are 5 overcards you don't want to see on the flop. On the flop everyone now has the correct odds to call with most draws.

If a limp is correct in this position, what would you do with TT, JJ?

Raise all of them. 99 has a significant equity edge against poor limpers. It isn't the dominant favorite AA-QQ are, but will still be a significant winner if you are raising this hand. Much more so than limping.

preflop is fine, a limp would have been slightly less ev.

flop is an easy fold
