Thanks for the link. I tried downloading your 30/60 vids (just for curiosity's sake), but it appears that both links point to the same file. Both the 30 minute and 1 hour videos point to the same filename and are 30.8 MB in size. Just thought I'd point that out to you.

yes this server is a disaster. someone from twoplustwo told me that he had a dedicated webhosting service and offered to give a terrabyte a month to pokeravi.com free of charge. little did i know that by dedicated webhosting he meant hosting through my dsl connection! (i dont know if thats the case or not) so im moving the site over to a real webhosting company and will be paying the server charges out of my pocket. server fees dont look like they will be that expensive depending on the sites popularity. ill bump this thread in a few days when the site is up and running. right now my payment for the new hosting company is going through approval and dns servers take up to 24 hours to convert.

Webhosting is pretty cheap, Although for all that bandwidth per month... Ouch that's going to get pricey! Maybe some rules on Codec's/Resolution needed?

Maybe get some mod's to approve the file uploads before they are avalible too?

last thing you want is porn hosted

i have a cap on upload sizes and making people register through their twoplustwo accounts assures that people wont abuse webhosting or else they will get their accounts revoked.

Is there any scheme that you could workout that would charge the people who create videos a few cents/hand or for the length of the movie? I would think that this would tend to keep the fish away as well, while keeping you from taking a loss for all of your hard work.
