here is my take. i was pm'd by several players that degen was spam pming them. so i politely pm'd degen to stop. he did. but he then created two new accounts to spam people from, and act like a total idiot in my forum. when i looked up his other posts via those users he used them to make lame comments he couldnt make from his own account.

so he should be given another mercy card, i gave him that chance a month ago.

he just pm'd me as well, first one is vindictive and the second one is apologetic, but also confirms that he is the users thedean and affiliatesaver. i am banning him again.

FWIW, if he makes a new account and we know it's him, he should be nuked. Somebody abuses 2p2 and they should flat loose the abilility to use it.

this has zero to do with competition. if it were, i would have banned him several weeks ago. i gave him a warning. so instead he made new accounts and abuses the system with them.

I do agree with your actions. But you're in a tough spot where this type of banning (of an "established" poster who is a competitor) will never look good for you. In this situation if you posted here or PMd Mat or Cola it would have had the same result but make it seem 100% unbiased (which I'm sure it was but perception is a different issue).

Let me expand on my previous comment.

We now know that affiliatesaver was actually a nonrakeback Party affiliate pretending to be a player for the purpose of making trouble between Party and rakeback affiliates. I thought as much at the time and said so. The method behind his trollish madness was just too evident.

He committed severe trolling under false pretenses for personal gain. Based solely on his actions last Fall he should be banned forever in all his incarnations. That you guys say he has committed additional major offenses since then just makes it worse.
