you think he value raises an overpair to a river donk and calls a 3bet? [/ QUOTE ] I don't know if he calls a 3-bet. Are there players who fold overpairs to 3-bets on-line? I definitely think he raises an overpair. Would you put a tag on a flush who check/call, check/call, donks the river? Or check/call, donks the turn? It looks much more like one pair since most players checkraise a flush draw on the flop. |

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
forget getting him off a better A high. it probably won't happen. i like check-call twice and the river is tough. he can probably have K high enough to checkcall that too

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
dumb question for a lo-stakes player, but is this a standard 3-bet for you at any level or just these higher limits?

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
A tough player is probably opening close to 40% of his hands, meaning you have close to 53% equity against his range. So.. yeah clear 3-bet.

It's a pretty standard 3-bet vs most TAG's in these games, but I did hesitate before 3-betting because I knew him to be tough, which reduces the power of my ace-high (expensive to showdown and unlikely to extract much value). |

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
Nh guys, I gotta agree that check-calling flop and turn is the play. I guess there's a bit of an opportunity to get funky if the turn comes K/Q as TSMBD said, but what I did is pretty dirty.

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
Why is everyone saying check calling is best?
What is so bad with the standard flop checkraise? Is it because the cap means he's seeing a showdown? Or is there something else? |

Re: 100/200 Choose your line
I would check/raise the flop and lead any turn.

think the turn checkraise is close but the 2 is such an awful card. at least the board didnt pair though. id be much more inclined to do this if a paint card hit. [/ QUOTE ] VS. a UTG raiser and capper what paint cards do you want to checkraise the turn with? I assume it's only JTQ. Even then, those are trouble. |
