you aren't the only one on the bubble. both of these opponents are on the bubble too, and you have them covered. they have to pick up a monster to call. i don't play a lot of sats, but to me this is an absolutely elementary push.

what im trying to argue here is that you can maintain the same amount of FE with a much smaller raise (a push is VERY unnecessary).

Whats the difference? I'm calling a push anyway. Why invite them to call and hit something on me?

I need to know what tournament this is before I retype a long response.

If this is a turbo, it's def a push.

If it's some standard tourney, than alot of things change.

The worst possible play here is a min raise and fold to a push btw..and it's not even close.

i understand that obviously. but how many players will push into a button minraise when theyre risking a tourney that favors outlasting over accumulating chips?

If this is a turbo, anyone who understands that they can't fold into the money and have a decent hand.

I dont have much satellite experience but I'd say minraise, call a SB push fold to a BB push. BB shouldn't be playing back at you without a big hand, SB might, even if he has a monster you have great odds to call. I think minraising>pushing>folding
