Party - March Forward Giveaway 3/17 - 3/21

Comparing the New Year's Giveaway (7 days) & this March Forward Giveaway's (5 days) prize structures, it is a flatter payout structure than in January. This time around, seems like less incentive to reach the top rings if you feel you are quite behind... but at same time, much easier to get into the middle of the pack this time around, albeit, for much less $$.

I "bothered" to break down the payouts in each ring for both promotions as comparison:

Prize amount * # of spots = total amount given at that level

$1,000*25=$25,000
$500*50=$25,000
$200*100=$20,000
$100*500=$50,000
$75*1,500=$112,500
$50*3,000=$150,000
$25*5,000=$125,000

$507,500 giving away to top 10,175 spots

<u>New Year's Giveaway</u>

$1,100*50=$55,000
$800*100=$80,000
$500*150=$75,000
$250*200=$50,000
$50*500=$25,000
$30*3,500=$105,000
$20*5,500=$110,000

$500,000 gave away to top 10,000 spots

Interesting, eh?.......

i did a quick search but i suck at the internet


edit: i'm at work so no poker tracker access, but a quick look at some stat posts shows about 8 tickets/100 hands.
any buddy want to say if this sounds right or not?

Yes, Mik1w, even 0.50/1.00 Limit tables and NL25 tables had blue tables that was part of the promotion.

Party basically just adds "blue" tables to existing table list and slowly swap out "normal" tables for the duration of the promotion. Table numbers were like "Table 90,000-100,000" so presumably same thing this time around with different names/numbers.

For the New Year's Giveaway I played approximately 23000 hands of NL25 and ended up getting 1148 tickets. That's 1 ticket every 20 hands. I was just playing normally, not really trying to maximize the number of tickets I earned by checking down or anything. Definitely could be different for other people but figured I would share. lol.

I checked the old stat posts, too. Obviously the numbers vary btwn NL and Limit, but when I saw posts mentioning number of hands &amp; how many tickets they had, I went to the calculator and saw that the 5 examples I noticed had come out to be:

1 in 23 (900 tix in 21,015 hands of LHE 6-max)
1 in 28
1 in 32
1 in 36
1 in 48 (578 tix in 27,993 hands of LHE $2/$4)

So it looks like 8 tix per 100 hands actually is too generous, anyone else? This seems to be closer to 3-4 tix per 100 hands instead?

phillydilly: FYI, NJDevils didn't say it here yet, grins, but he placed 2nd out of everyone in that promotion. The 50th place who also got $1,100 in that promotion had 637 tickets, I believe.
