Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
[ QUOTE ]
Alot more people on wall street know alot more than him, but he has a strong personality and is a good self promoter [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't matter if someone knows more, but you don't hear about it... Cramer is putting tradable (and market moving) info on the table every day, via multiple mediums! |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
i'm not a big fan of cramer as i feel he can sandbag it at times however there is no doubt he knows what he is doing. he ran a successful hedge fund and is very wealthy because of the markets.

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
sandbagging DEFINITELY, mentioning stuff after major moves constantly, he knows so many stocks he should be able to predict SOME big movements, not always get in after the fact
but i still like the crazy guy, and his books are good |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
he also has a big staff to count on if he does not that particular stock. so when you call him about a particular stock he is getting some info from his staff fed to him.

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
I just can't sit through his incredibly goofy and annoying show long enough to figure out if he has anything to say.

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
[ QUOTE ]
If you truly understand Cramer's philosophy, then his comments are useful to any "trader" looking for stocks to add to a watch list... certainly much more useful than following upgrades/downgrades by investment analysts. p.s... Cramer is bullish on the DOW for 2006. [/ QUOTE ] i can't tell if you're levelling/being sarcastic to us all. case against a serious tone in your post: 1) there is an ! in some of your posts that isn't always there. 2) there are no smiley faces 3) the tense of that statement at the end there (bolded) Barron |

Re: Jim Cramer Actual Track Record
Of course cramer's performance isn't going to be that good, his show is intended to be sensationalist and fun. I highly doubt anyone is going to outperform the indices by much when they are faced with the tasks of making dozens of stock picks every single day.
Measuring him based on these picks is a pretty poor metric of his performance - the best evidence lies in his hedge funds performance prior to him leaving - which was, in fact, quite stellar. |
