Good post.
But I don't think we can lump all the Push 'chip counts' together yet. First we need to find the dollar value of each chip count and then take that weighted average. For example: Say I'm in a tourney 1 from the bubble. And I am given a 50 / 50 chance to double up or go broke? Is the EV of this automatically 0? No, it depends. If it's a satellite top 40 all make the satellite, it's surely negative EV. If it's winner take all, then it's probably 0 EV. But based on the chip count method used it's always zero. |

i think the reason why everyone is saying push is because u need to double up soon if you want to give urself a shot to make any money in this tournament (more than 2x buy-in).
