Bob (or anyone else), how did it work last year as far as being able to watch the final table? I'd be very interested in doing so this year and was wondering how possible it would be (if there was high demand for seating, etc).

Last year final table it was in the showroom where the nightly shows are. We sat in the upper area, then left for a while, and then came back and watched the end. We got seats at the beginning, but I'm not sure if everyone did. But certainly an hour in, anybody who wanted to could get a seat.
Last year it was WPT, so on one balcony Mike and Vince were doing their live commentary, and on the other side Shana was filming all her little promos. That was a show of its own, since you could hear her doing them, and some took like 15 takes. I don't know if whoever is filming it this year will have live commentary, so the balconies may be open for seating. |

this is assuming they do it in the theatre again.
I'm pretty sure anyone who wanted got a seat whenever they arrived for the most part. It's also worth noting that the final-table was pretty darned boring to watch live. We lasted about 30 minutes and then said, "lets go drinking!!" |

[/ QUOTE ] If you booked your flight/air through Holland then there will be someone to greet you, or if you purchased transportation through Holland to the pier. If you are on your own, get in a taxi and tell the driver to take you to Port Everglades. Look for the big ship called the Westerdam, you cant miss it, its pretty big! |

Can anyone recommend good dramamine? [/ QUOTE ] You probably won't need it on a ship this big, unless you have a history of getting seasick. |

[/ QUOTE ] Unfortunately, I have no history of being able to afford cruises, so I have no idea. I get sick on roller coasters and occasionally in cars though, if that helps. |

most people do not get sick on the ship.
Worst might be on the first day when you might still be getting acclimated. Don't take the stuff that makes you drowsy. It's not worth it imo. The bonine isn't supposed to make you drowsy I believe. Linda talks about the bonine and dramamine and stuff a lot in the CPC meeting. I'm pretty motion sensitive...and the boat doesn't really affect me at all. GF is even more motion sensitive and she also was unaffected. She took some dramamine before we left becaus it was her first cruise and she was pretty paranoid about it. The stuff wound up knocking her out for several hours. However, the sea-sickness does get to some people. Guy on day 1 of the tourney had to leave the table because he was so nauseuous....even though he had a big stack of chips. He still had chips at the end of the day though and when they bagged them he wasn't around to sign his name and nobody knew who he was. On the bulletin-board that day he was listed as, Last name: Sickman First name: Left Early |
