Preflop 4-bet seems really bad to me unless there is some serious history. We are basically bluffing, and hate it when we get action.

Honestly I just fold pre. 4betting AQo deep and out of position is a recipe for disaster as you turn it into a complete bluff. As played I think you can c/c flop and see what he does on the turn. Lots of his range like TT-QQ without a spade is shutting down on the turn and you may get a free card or you can lead out depending on the card and maybe take it down there. Checkraising the flop isn't great because he's likely to be suspicious and have trouble releasing anything and you just may get shoved on and make a big mistake.
In summary, fold pre. If not, c/c this flop and re-evaluate on turn. |
