Re: 25NL Okay to fold KK here?
[ QUOTE ]
I think even if we used your first range (the less favorable one), we still profit by shoving. .31*($46)-.69($20)=+$0.50. [/ QUOTE ]Take rake into account and you'll be losing. I don't mind folding or shoving here. I'd probably gamble. |

Re: 25NL Okay to fold KK here?
Working it out seems good. Pushing the flop risks 20.20 ($6.25 calling plus the remainder of the larger stack [$13.95] to win $42.30 (the money in the pot before it gets to me, plus the remainder of the 2 other stacks).
.36(42.30)-.64(20.25)=$2.27 This looks to be marginally +EV, until we consider the rake assuming a 5% rake, we get .36(42.30-2.15)-.64(20.25)=$1.50. Even with the rake, shoving is +EV, albeit a small amount. This has been a lot of fun, and I've gotten to learn some about EV in pushing these situations. I've never come out ahead in these situations (overpair vs 2 players donking), but it's good to know that in this case, I have a +EV push. |
