Well, I mean we could call and check to him and hope he bets, but OOP I just wanna get it in now because I don't want a scare card to come to kill my action nor do I want him checking behind.. and if he calls an open push on the river, he's gonna call it on the turn.

I guess he could've picked up a spade draw on the turn to go with his pair or gutshot, still doesn't this really feel like 8x? And I'm behind all 8x except 86, which is why I felt really gross shoving turn. He like insta minraised the turn

really crappy spot, and we very well could be behind a boat or stronger 8s, but this guy is so loose pre-flop and seems pretty bad, so i could never talk myself into folding here as much it feels like we are beat.

Yeah he could have an 8, but he could also have 7s6s, 6s5s, 7s5s, or any pair. The range of hands that include the case 8 would be like 86, 87, 89, 8T and A8. There's 3 combos of 44. that's 6 hands, now compare that with the 3 combo draws and the combos of midpairs he could have and I'm not folding.

Also, if anything, just river a 7.

What is Hero repping? Hero is repping a big pair with his two calls. Villain is saying he can beat a big pair, which on this board is as about as good as the hand the Hero actually holds.

1. BB might have a better hand than Hero.
2. Other dude has 22/44 8x alot here imo unless he's really dumb.

Opps range 3 handed to flop is just about anything
A8s? 44 8x scs and i think some sort of flop gutshot that turned a fd as well.
However, because your opps stats suck (30/12 says he plays bad) id be more inclined to believe he has an 8 rather than something like JJ/TT or a turned gutshot+FD.
However, because our line says 'me have overpair!' and our hand is soo underrepped (yet we have no info on opps hand) you cant fold here.

What bothers me is that we played the hand to flop this, then we underepped on flop, effectivly turned our supposed hand face up, and now think the turn call is tough when it should be insta-call considering how we played the flop and defined our hand.

Did you read the rest of the thread? Raising flop is stupid and a bad results oriented conclusion, the only reason you say raise the flop is to define the hand of the main villain who, on the flop, is most likely folding. SO a raise does nothing but shut down the bluffing fish. Raising this flop is retarded imo.
