Wow, overcalling that river can't be good. I don't think this is the hand you want to go to bat vs two unknown preflop raisers.

What are your ranges?

[/ QUOTE ]

Can't remember exactly, but first guy was like 77+, AT+, A8s+ or A9s+, KTs+, KJ+, QJs

Second guy was 88+, AJs+, AJ+, KQs...

I think that's pretty reasonable.

I wish stove would let you put %'s on your ranges, so that you could say like "50% of AJo" or something like that, it'd be a lot more accurate.

In the actual hand they ended up having TT (raiser) and 44 (reraiser).

edit: gives me like 27.5%

You can do a discounted AJo, but it's tricky. You're allowed to select specific suit combinations of each hand using the little grid down below. Unselect half of them, and bam, 50% of AJo. It's tedious if you're doing this for more than a couple hands, though.

*grunch*

This is coming from a noob...

I think I would fold pre-flop. With a raise and a re-raise, there's a decent chance you are up against a higher pair (don't know percentages, but a rough guess would be a 30% to 40% chance). You're out of position, and if any overcards fall on the flop you're pretty much done. So you're basically hoping for a set, which I don't think you have the odds for.

It was pretty much second-best case scenario flop (besides getting a set), and it still seems like a tough spot (which emphasizes the fold pre-flop). Never the less, bet/call is probably ok, but the turn I think is a check/fold.

I haven't looked at the thread, Dave, so maybe you answer this somewhere, but wtf? This just looks wickid stoopid to me. In order of badness: folding the river, capping pf (or perhaps I should say failing to fold pf), calling the turn, bet/calling the flop.

Edit: nope, question not really answered. Stroke? Tilt?

And, Xylocain:

That said your implied odds are terrific so folding might be off.

o rly? The Villans are unknown, so how do you figure we're even going to be able to make up the, un, 6-10BB we're giving up, much less make anything additional unless we're in a RIO jackpot?

As played, flop is ok. Fold every other chance you get, though.

Just run it twice: one with, one without. See if it actually makes a meaningful difference.

First I was like ... and then I was like ... and then I thought ... but finally -- yea point taken. I'll make a note.
