[ QUOTE ]
this guy plays pretty tight from the blinds ime w/him so I really dont see him turning up with a deuce here like ever unless its exactly 22. that said, you're really only worried about sets of which there are 4 combos. this guy gets frustrated pretty easily from the times i've played him and can definitely be getting out of line here plenty. hes the kinda guy that would milk you to death with a boat on the flop rather than c/r to shut out the bb. [/ QUOTE ] I dont play on FTP anymore but if this is the case, wow IŽd snap call. Seems kind of a tilty play. |

[ QUOTE ] I'd like it better if it the board wasn't paired and this low. Like 852. In this spot, I think you find a lot of people with the villain's description showing up with JJ-88 , since they don't tend to reraise too lightly PF and there's only 44 and a handful of 2x hands that he can have that beat us. That said it probably isn't a huge mistake either way because he definitely has a boat or a deuce here sometimes. -Andy [/ QUOTE ] This is pretty much what I am wondering. Does someone like this turn 99/1010 into a bluff here? Or does he think he is value shoving? Also, does the overbet shove mean anything (i.e do you play diff if he bets like $80 on the turn)? I forgot to mention in OP, but he insta shoved the turn. [/ QUOTE ] Plenty of villains will value-town JJ-99 or thereabouts here. Exactly what sort of flop are you hoping for to get KK in with? 222? -Andy |

He c'rd a super dry flop and shoved the turn...I got scurred of a monster |

Re: Mehhhh - in which I fold an overpair on a dry boad (FT 200 NL)
i'd call this. you only lose to 55.
if he has you beat, 44 is the most likely suspect, as in he was bluff/(may have the best hand) raising the flop, and then hit his 4 on the turn |

If he can get you to fold KK, I'd do it too.

Re: Mehhhh - in which I fold an overpair on a dry boad (FT 200 NL)
sorry for bumping but i just saw this hand, one thing curious to me is if bb is a huge donk, i think AA has to be in villain's range and it is a hand he may play just like this. I am surprised nobody sees that hand as being possible.
I have only played villain a tiny bit but i have assumed in my experience with him he is 3betting 99/TT and the like here. I do think 33/66 are well within his range especially considering his rep for tilting, so you have to call, but if you are behind it is to AA and AA only, imo. |
