SB is shortstacked. Getting it in is fine.

If he's Aces full or even 9's or 5's full you are going to end up allin regardless of what you do. But what are the chances hes got an Ace big kicker? He's calling with that and sometimes shoving. A small ace is going to be a very tough call for him if you shove but a definate value caller. He stacks you every time hes ahead but you do not necessarily get to stack him every time he has an ace. You really do not have a lot of information on him as to whether he is a nit caller in the small blind preflop with AK or AQ. The pot is so small at this point though I am simply value raising him to about $12 to $16. If hes got that big ace you very well could and should end up allin if not you get the call with the little ace or fold from less which would have happened anyway. He also sometimes calls with PP's down to 10s.

I don't know if that helps. I'm new to this hand analysis stuff. Usually just play by the seat of my pants.

Getting it in is optimal for sure but what is he calling with and is a value raise a better option to get a call? It is such a small pot to begin with I just see him letting it go to an allin raise with hands he would call a value raise with.

A shortstacker at this level is snap-calling any ace close to 100% of the time here.

Iīd make it 35. That way he figures to have money left if he makes a bad call, thatīs how the shortstack fishes think.
