Re: A9 street by street...play along [400NL]
ok, worthless was obviously a bit harsh. I just mean that I typically like to know more about a player before I start playing marginal/bad hands oop, whether in a bloated, 3 bet pot or not.
If I wanted to play this hand, though, I'd 3 bet. |

i think all three of your options are reasonable. i think you should post the preflop action and open the discussion to flop play. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, its my opinion too. I'd rate calling and 3-betting a bit higher though. Anyway: No-Limit Hold'em, $2.00/$4.00 SB (532.50) Hero (698.20) CO (376.95) Button (663.80) Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 1 folds, Button raises to $14.00, 1 folds, Hero calls $10.00, Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ( $30 ) Hero? Lead? C/r? Just call? Why? (Note stacksizes) |

[ QUOTE ] 3b [/ QUOTE ] US, would you rate 3-bet > Fold > Call? [/ QUOTE ] player/flow deependent really. With some good reads i could call, but yeah sounds about right. EDIT: missed stacks, calling becomes better the deeper you are, think i'd still 3b here though. |

Re: A9 street by street...play along [400NL]
i cc here a lot. leading is alright, but i tend not to donk into one guy (personal preference).
cr is pretty sweet, i think, because it's going to be real tough for him to felt an overpair given effective stacks. so yeah, i think all three options are legitimate on the flop, too. i'd mix in ccs and crs with certain frequencies. |

Re: A9 street by street...play along [400NL]
c/r size if villain leads 22? What do we do if villain calls and we are OOP in a relatively big pot?
Our equity goes down to 33% if we blank on the turn: Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 704 games 0.015 secs 46,933 games/sec Board: 9d 8c 6c 3d Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 33.097% 33.10% 00.00% 233 0.00 { Ac9c } Hand 1: 66.903% 66.90% 00.00% 471 0.00 { QQ+, KcQc } --- Reasonable range for calling a c/r? Bet/ 3-bet is good here with 100bbs right? Where do we pull the line for bet/ 3-betting? |

Re: A9 street by street...play along [400NL]
I c/r here all day long. regs usually have a high cbeting frequency and you will squeeze and extra bet out of him. It also is very hard for villain to call youre c/r and a turn lead as deep as you are.
I c/r flop and lead the turn. |

Re: A9 street by street...play along [400NL]
I probably c/c. Seems like any other line turns our hand into a bluff and our hand seems to strong for that. I could be wrong though. I can totally see arguments for any action here that doesn't involve folding.

I think he plays perfect to a 3-bet alot of the time. [/ QUOTE ] I think calling>raising>folding if this is the case. If u lead and he raises do you flat? Or 4-bet? Given that our equity drops to 33% on blank turns I hate lead/raised/call as a line because we are check/calling check/folding a bunch of turns. Equally c/raising wins us a small pot a lot, but when he calls were in the same situation as above. Would you get it ai on the flop if u could? |

So its probably not a "great" line. For the reasons you mentioned I'm not a big fan either of the other lines, so I was hoping someone could enlighten me |
