Let's think about this.

The hitter goes up to hit after taking 5-10 swings in the on-deck circle with a donut-weighted bat, then during the AB takes maybe 2 or 3 full-out cuts on misses/fouls, those take energy out of you, then the HR swing, which obviously is a substantial swing, then sprinting about 80 feet to first before realizing ball goes out, then jogging around bases another 400 feet (factor in, say 140 additional feet or so for curvature of route and jogging back to dugout.)

If the average 2p2er did this, they'd be sore the next day. [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
