I agree that AcXc is a good part of his range. but so is T8, T9, and other combo draws. The bet is kinda big to squeeze value out of Jx from AcXc imo.

T9 we lose to, i doubt he is cc with T8 or a lot of the other hands that make up the big draws here, and if he does have a big draw, isnt he raising the flop almost always. And if he can play a big draw this way, why cant he have a set.

basically, if we bet this small, we give our opponent better implied odds, and hes more likely to chase the draws. if he calls a turn PSB and a scare card comes, i think most players are A) less likely to bluff, and B) more likely to have a range polarized towards made hands and less towards drawing hands, so we can feel a little safer about getting river money in.

my logic could be entirely flawed however, considering its 5am here and i havent been to bed yet.

I blocker bet this alot, same when I have AJ/AK/AQ/Acxc or JJ. But still a nasty spot.
