you played the hand well. good job. sometimes downswings can have you second-guessing even the most standard hands. it's good you are reevaluating things as a check up. good luck. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks for the postive feedback. |

Re: 88 mp
[ QUOTE ]
The only minor quibble I have is that I personally would just call with 88 PF. If the game is loose this raise isn't going to win the blinds, and unless you flop your set you're highly vulnerable to overs. [/ QUOTE ] This is probably ok if you're sure the pot will be multiway but if you're afraid of Q63 flops 3handed you need more practice at playing them. |

Re: 88 mp
One thing this hand did is to improve my hand reading a little against this guy for the next time. He left soon after and I did not get a chance to play against him again. But he is around a lot.

Re: 88 mp
Thanks X.. yeah, usually at my live game its a total limpfest. If I have 88 on that type of flop three-handed I'll usually take a stab and see what happens.
Normally I'll raise PF with AA-JJ and AKs/o, and sometimes early with junkier stuff to mix things up. Anything else I just want to see a cheap flop and play poker. |
