I'm torn...

Is he obviously nervous for his first show? Of course. But he doesn't have the same natural ownership of the show that I always remember Bob having. 35 years on one show will do that for you, but I don't know if Drew's got it. Part of me thinks he's trying to hard to be Drew Carey instead of letting the show run itself.

I'll keep watching, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he works out over the next few weeks. I'm still a bit nervous that no Bob Barker will soon lead to the show's death...kids aren't going to be Drew Carey followers for years like they were with Bob.

Very noticeable. Not that it really matters, since everyone knows how all the games work, but you could tell he was a little rough around the edges when doing the pricing game intros. Also, it didn't help that he had some contestants clearly picked to be on the show because they acted retarded: the guy that ran over to the Jeep before he even played the game, the girl who plotzed after winning $16K.

It's not particularly evident that this was the very first show, though, just the one that CBS decided to air first. They sometimes run shows out of order. During the showcase, the big-screen was showing clips of Drew, a contestant, and the wheel, so that was either a previous taping that hasn't been aired yet, or a rehearsal.

Also, the constipation line was good, but the "Ezekiel Barker" line was better. And did anyone else notice the "Carey's Cuties" girls in the front row (who were, shall we say, not) or the people in the "Pittsburgh Rocks!" shirts? I think people will have fun with Drew.

Agreed. I was thinking the same thing!

The only thing that really bothered me was him constantly calling Rich by his first AND last name, got annoying.

He had a great few lines that made me chuckle out loud.

once drew gets his game show voice (adding certain tones during climaxes of games, slowing down in other parts), he'll be great

I have no idea how I feel about this, but I am watching it anyway.

He still has Bob's long skinny microphone, so at least that's good. It just doesn't feel right though.

Much like when NT! took over for (censored), you can't compare him to past greatness he can never match or come close to.

You just need to accept him and his mediocrity for what it is.

I'm referring to Drew Carey, of course...

Today, Wednesday, has been the worse I have ever seen him (Drew) ever. I was cringing throughout the entire show.

Rough one Drew, rough one.
