We don't have to shove, stacks are quite deep.

Yeah, I realised you were planning to raise to a normal amount. I don't think I mentioned shove anywhere.

Thinking about it I don't think raising is as bad as I first thought, I prefer calling though.

Ah, just misinterpreted push=shove.

yeah, I would say this spot is pretty close, not sure what is most +EV. calling probably is, but i always tend to do stupid stuff at the tables.

Orange,

If our hand is as big as you think it is (equity speaking) then I don't think your primary concern should be FE. Especially if this guy is a monkey. They don't know how to fold and it gets magnified when they are running hot.

Raising the flop puts us in a much better situation when trying to figure out how to maximize on this hand. Now FE will come to play exponentially more since we have been putting pressure on him from the beginning and still haven't let up on the throttle. Now he needs to be concerned that he will be playing for stacks instead of just a chunk of change.

so from now on, push = throw in a fraction of the chips in your stack......... lol

i think it's close too... i think what should decide between call and shove is how often he's trying to induce on the turn and will come over the top.... since he's a station, this is unlikely, so i may lean toward pushing a fraction of my chips into the middle

why is everyone assuming him 3 betting ='s no call. look how small hes betting. And if hes a calling station you want the pot to be big on river so you can get great value.

I raise this turn for value (not even looking to fold him, i just raise to 68 something like that so on river if we hit we can fire out 200 instead of 70.

OP said villain was a bit of a calling station. I don't mind raising the turn really. He seems pretty weak and unless OP has a read that this guy will never fold anything, raising cannot be bad.

based on his betting i doubt hes going to just 3 bet shove. if we go to 70 i see him going just to 120.. and that would be an even BETTER scenario then him just calling 50. now hes first to act, in a spot where we have huge odds + 100bb left of implied odds if we hit river.

would be so sexy to get 3 bet by this donk on turn.
