there's more value in flatting 88-99 from the blinds to a CO raise because we are not that far ahead of his 3bet calling range.

How about playing poker and keeping the pot small OOP? Or sometimes balancing your play?

fair enough. so even though it's 4 handed, is expecting to take this down pf a fair amt of the time being overly optimistic

The thing is, taking it down isn't so great since we could do that with A5o with a similar EV.
