if I call its to spike a J or a 9, so the turn stack-off for me is standard.

Care to elaborate upon this? What ranges are you putting villain on? Why is the flop raise better?

You're just looking to win the pot on the flop?

What if they call on the flop and then you spike the 9, what then?

I like preflop and flop is fine IMO.

I check behind on turn, and call villain's $11 river bet. Or, I vb $8-11 myself if villain checks.

If I get crai'ed on river, I fold, saving a bag-load of money (the pot is still a modest size) and knowing this is very, very rarely a worse 9.

I think its ok to fold here against non idiot. You just dont beat much in his range, lots of weaker 9's already filled and his turn check indicates exactly this. He would certainly bet the turn if he had a weak nine.

meh I honestly think I just fold the flop. All of your options suck. Calling is pretty bad because it gives all kinds of free cards which you don't want to see, especially if SB comes along for the ride. Raising is not so good because I think you get reraised a large percentage of the time.

I probably just fold and think nothing of it. You're not ahead of alot.

Pretty obvious reasons. I raise because calling puts me in a much harder spot than raising and being called, imo.

Imo calling and raising both suck for reasons already mentioned. i let this go on the flop.
Ususally what ama says is sound but here i have to disagree with him. Calling to catch a 9 or J is not a grat choice.
raising ov sucks too.

I usually fold preflop here. I don't like trying to steal from the CO with a low 1-gap suited connector. That is just my preference, I could be leaking major cash by not raising though. I definitely raise from the button.

On flop, you have TP, meh kicker. The range I have BB on based off of your reads is TT-66, KQ-JT, KJ, & A8. Once again, this is just me, but I don't like playing a low TP against a TAG who raised in front of me on the flop. If you are behind, you are really behind. If you are ahead, you are ahead of a flush draw realistically. I would fold the flop because if an overcard comes, it will complicate the situation even further. If you decide to stay in, calling allows BB a free shot at drawing to a flush, so I would pot-raise and fold to a push. You are pot committing yourself if you raise, though.

So, on flop, fold > raise > call.

this is a leak...I am raising all kinds of 1 gappers from the CO depending on the button.
I agree with AMA here, You called onthe flop with top pair and now you have trips there isnt a better card in the deck for you, if you werent willing to get it in with this kind of hand you should have folded the flop.
