Welcome to the micros.
Nice first post. So, you have 40k hands, why don't you post your stats so we can see what kind of player you are? I'm guessing 14/7/1 or 27/15/2. |

Ok, so below I present a detailed stat analysis of my play. All the stats belong to the full tilt .25/.50 full ring game, I have filtered pt to only take account of games in which 7 or more people were present, so not a single shorthanded game is accounted for in the stats. I give two groups of stats, one consists of all my games in the last 6 months or so (since I’ve bought pt) which total to 37.575 hands that are helpful in giving an overview of my preliminary education process, and the second group which consist of currently only 10.486 hands are my stats from the beginning of september which I believe are more representative of my current play. The differences between the figures in the two groups are indicative of my efforts to plug leaks in my game and improve my overall play.

over aggressiveness is probably costing you money by betting in situations where you should call or fold.
it just looks to me that your postflop play is lacking experience. Starting values are probably fine. When I played full ring I played 28 - 38 vpip which is high for a lot of guys but then again I didn't multitable so I played with a lot more reads on my opponents than you ever do. Just checked my stats using same filter. 25k hands at .50/1.00 FR > 7 VPIP 30.4 PFR 13 AGR 2.28 flop AGR 1.99 turn AGR 1.78 river Total AGR 2.06 BB/100 +2.53 went to showdown 36% W$SD 48% W$WSF 33% I probably undervalued the river a bit here and didn't bet/fold enough so there is a small leak on my river play here but its not too far off. |

that is truly an impressive winrate considering how high your vpi is, I frankly hadn't thought that it could be possible... I don't think I have major errors preflop either, and support the idea of post flop inexperience. I too often find myself with second best hands after the flop, which is largely indicative of my lack of flop evaluation. but still my major leaks seems to be my ineffiency in putting my opponents on hands...
for the first time in my last play I tried taking notes on certain individuals, and color coding a few... but I am still at a loss to what to take note of... pahud already tells so many things about his play that I am not sure of what I should be adding to that in terms of personal notes. could you give me a few examples of what you take notice of during a game with an op, and how you phrase it in your notes and perhaps give an overview of your color coding system?.. |
