Re: Raising Limpers in LP and Ranges
I've been working on the same part of my game. There's something to be said for building a bigger pot when you're in position.

raise [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that's the idea. So you think it's strong TAG play to just ignore 1 or 2 limpers and raise with as wide a range that I would if opening the pot? |

raise [/ QUOTE ]totally agree. Any hand that I'm playing after two limpers I'm raising and sometimes after any number of limpers. Just be sure to look at stack sizes of the limpers when you're raising trash like 7Ts. |

Re: Raising Limpers in LP and Ranges
Punish people for being weak-tight. 2 limpers to you on the button with 87s/44/Axs/etc raise that [censored] up to 6bb and bet the flop if they call. You can make so much easy money doing this plus its great for your image.

If you are always raising with range X with 2 limpers, then you will always have some reasoning errors in your play. You may make the right play often, but you won't really know why, so what's the point? The same can be said about always limping. There is no right or wrong answer about what to do here. The important thing is to learn what to consider. To those who like "the image" they get from raising a wide range so that they always raise: Be sure that you are playing against opponents that will adjust incorrectly to your "image". |

I might limp behind unsuited conectors or one gappers, but thats about it. Otherwise I'm popping it up. |

Re: Raising Limpers in LP and Ranges
Appreciate all the thoughts guys. It's pretty clear that I have been much too passive in these situations. I've been making some decent strides in my game but my BTN and CO stats are just weak. Not after today...

Re: Raising Limpers in LP and Ranges
yeah creating a raised pot against players who play weak and have weak hands when you have position on them with probably at least as good a hand as them is like...good
