Oh and if this is the case should I just jump straight into 200 NL online? I want to start playing online but all I've played so far is 200 cash games in person.

much to everyones dismay im going to give you a serious answer

If you believe 25NL cant be beat because of the rake or too many people out to deal bad beats, you will get destroyed at 200NL.

My advice, buy pokertracker, play 25NL, read and post hands and study. Move up once you are able to beat 25NL

I find 200nl live pretty hard, but have few problems beating 200nl online. I guess this is because I am not adapting to new bet sizes. But there are often quite a few people with good reading ability and aggression, are they recklessly loose?
200NL live is an easier game than 25NL online.

I don't doubt this, but why do you say that? Seems like it would be the opposite to me.

Thanks for the responses, debating on whether or not to try it out, but that rake just seems insanely high.

LOL, I dunno, I think that there are more gamblers in 25NL than 200NL live. This is my experience anyway.

I grinded out the $$ for my 50" TV back at 25nl when I started playing 2-3 years ago...so yeah, it is.

It's because on most sites there are limits under 25nl for some of the players to learn the game at. The lowest limit that you can play at a casino is gonna be 1/2, so there are gonna be people that are absolutely atrocious because there's nowhere lower to go.

Ive only played NL live once, it was a 1/2 game. I had zero clue how to play NL and I was far and away the best player at the table. I was also drunk.

I know my sample size is very small, but I bet 200NL live typically is full of weaker players than 25NL online

From my limited experience of this weekend, I agree.
