I'd guess the courageous, gritty hero thing has something to do with it. Plus, being fit is no small thing. I'm sure plenty of ladies would like being thrown over the shoulder of the right guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree. What I'm saying though is that not all firemen are fit...are they still "more attractive" when they're in the suit? Or are they still just looked at the same?

You think I should maybe get one of those hats and wear it around town, like at the grocery store, or walking a borrowed dog at the park? Chicks like guys with dogs, right? So maybe ... a guy with a dog ... AND a fireman's hat ...

[/ QUOTE ]
When I asked a chick at the store if she wanted to touch my fireman's helmet she gave me a KITN.

Women...

Yes they are more attractive when they are in the suit.

We're talking about men who run into burning buildings to rescue children and mothers and sometimes even pets.

Older, heavier, bad case of acne...it doesn't matter. If they're dressed like firemen, yes, they are a power of magnitude more attractive.

Punctuation edit.

Also, grammar edit. Wow, I'm off my game tonight.

Ladies,

Thanks for clearing it up. I was quite wrong. Glad to have a better handle on the situation.

Given VR's response though, I'm pretty sure that me dressing up for Halloween as a fireman isn't going to increase my attraction level any? Admittedly, I'm a little too out of shape and untrained to go rushing into burning buildings at the moment. Well, needlessly anyway.

Any military uniform is good for me. Especially the Marines. HOT.

After that I love seeing a man in a suit, especially if it's tailored, they look sharp, even if carrying extra baggage. A well tailored suit can make any man look good, IMO.

Firefighter uniforms never really turned me on, it's just the fact that they're firemen that turns women on, LOL.

Do you prefer the fresh-from-the-package uniform, or the charcoal-browed exhausted hero look?

Fresh from the package. I certainly respect and don't mind the exhausted hero look, but I'm a kind of a clean/neat freak when it comes to my men.

However, I did grow up in a blue collared house hold and there is something quite comforting with the smell of the exhausted hero look. Reminds me of my daddy.

I concur, they have sharp uniforms too.
